Le dernier long-métrage d’Alain Gomis est actuellement en salle depuis mercredi. Le film, primé récemment à la Berlinale puis au Fespaco met en scène, « Félicité » une chanteuse congolaise, dont la vie bascule le jour où son fils est victime d’un accident de moto. S’ensuit alors, une course interminable et pénible dans les rues grouillantes de Kinshasa pour tenter de le sauver. Deux choix s’offrent à elle : se laisser totalement aller à la dérive ou accepter purement et simplement sa destinée.

Alain Gomis’ last long film has been released this Wednesday. The movie which was awarded at the Berlin Film Festival and at the Ouagadougou Fespaco, features « Félicité », a Congolese singer, whose life is turned upside down the day her son is injured in a motorcycle accident. It follows, then a long and agonizing race on the Kinshasa crowded streets so that to save her son’s life. She has two options : drifting or accepting her destiny.
