Adama , le film d’animation, réalisé par Simon Rouby, sort en salle mercredi 21 octobre 2015. Soutenu par le Festival d’Annecy, le long-métrage, au budget réduit, bouscule les grosses productions pour se tailler une place au soleil.
Le film relate l’histoire touchante d’un petit africain de 12 ans qui part à la recherche de son frère envoyé en France pendant la Première Guerre mondiale.
Inspiré de l’expérience douloureuse du tirailleur sénégalais Abdoulaye N’diaye, décédé un 11 novembre à l’âge de 104 ans, ce film est avant tout un conte qui se transforme petit à petit en récit historique. Son succès repose sur la volonté du jeune réalisateur de 36 ans qui fait le choix de « se concentrer uniquement sur l’information à donner au spectateur ».
Plusieurs acteurs dont Azize Diabate (La cité Rose), Pascal Nzonzi (Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au bon dieu ?), prêtent leurs voix aux personnages avec, comme invité surprise, le rappeur Oxmo Puccino.
« Adama », the animated film, directed by Simon Rouby, will be released in theater this 21st October 2015. Supported by the Annecy Festival, the limited budget full-lenghth movie, is challenging the major production companies so that to make a place in the sun.
The movie relates the touching story of a 12-year-old African who tracks down his brother shipped to France during the First World War.
Inspired by the painful experience of the Senegalese « tirailleur », Abdoulaye N’diaye who died on a 11th November at the age of 104, this movie is, above all, a tale that is turning into an historical narrative. Its success is based on the willing of the young 36-year-old director who has chosen « to focus only on the information given to the audience ».
Several actors including Azize Diabate (La cité Rose), Pascal Nzonzi (Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au bon dieu ?), are the voices of the characters together with an unexpected guest, the rapper Oxmo Puccino.
